I get a lousy Craftsman package from maybe 2006. Information technology's frightening, merely it's what I have. To spend money on the direction column and brakes for the motortruck, I have to deal. Recently, this happened. What's the hot ticket to fixture it? No bungee cord corduroys or duct tape allowed.
Just those boxershorts, and all at the one fourth dimension. Can the rails be replaced? I know null.
Temporarily try and find something to tilt the loge backwards? The drawers wish slide down back instead of unsuccessful?
I think the rails can be replaced, merely I harbour't looked into IT.
Are those roller bearing slides OR the folded steel channels?
If you give the sack drop it a drawer at a time and get the drawers out, you could bow the channels back into shape. Thats what I did with my yellow box.
Yours kind of looks like it has ball bearing slides, but maybe the same problem is occurrence?

Find soul unloading a twopenny-halfpenny file and salvage the slides. They're often three stage slides but removing one is easy enough
Call craftsman and you should be healthy to buy new slides.
I have the accurate one box up carmine and it's the last piece of crafter give chase E36 M3 that I'll ever so buy.
The drawers are sliding out because of the constructive/arctic detent has fallen apart. They tone suchlike this:
If you contact craftsman they will state you to reach to Waterloo Industries, who manufacturers the box. Waterloo leave tell you that they sell the various slides to you for 20$ apiece just don't sell the detents. That's because they don't actually make the slides either, they buy them from a Chinese supplier who barely has a site and ne'er answers emails.
After a a couple of hours of googling you'll find this foliate-https://World Wide Web.thingiverse.com/matter:3582007 which is a file that you can send somebody and so they can just 3d impress a bunch of these things and mail them to you. The 3d printed ones kindof-sortof work because the 3d printed incarnate doesn't quite provide the said friction. If my tool case lid wasn't covered with my sticker appeal I would have scrapped the whole worthless pile. I will die angry nearly this.
I will die stormy about this.
Can I slip away that contrast?

CrustyRedXpress (Forum Garter) aforesaid:I let the exact same box in red and information technology's the last piece of craftsman blackguard E36 M3 that I'll ever so buy.
The underdrawers are sliding out because of the plastic/rubber dog has fallen apart. They look same this:
If you contact craftsman they will tell you to give out to Battle of Waterloo Industries, who manufacturers the package. Waterloo testament tell you that they sell the individual slides to you for 20$ each but don't sell the detents. That's because they don't actually make the slides either, they buy them from a Chinese supplier who barely has a internet site and never answers emails.
After a few hours of googling you'll find this Sri Frederick Handley Page-https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3582007 which is a file that you toilet send somebody so they can just 3d print a bunch of these things and mail them to you. The 3d printed ones kindof-sortof work because the 3d written material doesn't quite provide the same friction. If my tool chest lid wasn't covered with my sticker collection I would have scrapped the whole worthless pile. I will die umbrageous active this.
Thanks for doing the homework for ME, even if the result stinks.
We had Vidmar boxes busy, the early models did that. Later ones had a trip you had to push in order to open a draftsman. They fixed the early models by pinning a 1" X 2" set up of prostrate stock on the frame to the right of the drawer. Each 1X2 had a teensy-weensy tab pointed straight out. To unfastened a drawer you riff the chit fallen, moving the 1 X 2 90 degrees allowing the draftsman to admissive.
This certainly would be easier if I found a picture .....

Floating Doc (Forum Supporter) same:I bequeath die huffy about this.
Can I steal that line?
I've already stolen it. My girlfriend is looking at me wondering why I'm dying happy.
In reply to Floating Doc (Meeting place Supporter) :
By all means! You're stealing IT from a thief =)
tuna55 aforementioned:I mean, I suppose I get it. Something like this, but it rotated.
Those are awful clumsy, especially when slamming draftsman aft drawer looking a tool. Try this:
How about finding draftsman slides that go?
drawer slides
Information technology didn't survive one weekend of mild wheeling, the drawers weren't over loaded, and information technology was strapped down so it wasn't bouncing or so. Ripped cardinal drawer glide off the box, ripped other off a drawer, and unrivalled of the latches poor.
I've been debating buying New drawer slides for it, Oregon just scrapping it.
And then you have to ask over yourself, operating theater I do myself, is it worth turn my piece of garbage $60 tool box into a $100 send off?
May be better off to contract bait and hit up FB Market Pose for something best.
Otherwise if you're just wanting something to help keep the drawers shut, you could stick something like these roller catches on the face of the box frame to catch the drawers and hold them compressed.

Hang toolbox lid on the wall to save collection and buy a new loge?
First step (IMO) would be to check it is equal front to game to keep underdrawers from sliding open or closed when you don't wishing it to.
Second, if you want the bumpers printed, I and others here can do that and drop it in the ring armou to you. Let us know how umpteen you want/need and the sought after material.
Third, if you supersede the slides completely, and so you shouldn't birth any further issues.
I had to make out this on a few drawers for our unweathered bedroom set, the slides weren't successful properly and the ball bearings fell out and the moldable cages for them also failed. New slides had metal cages and better tolerances (I pulled the others down and squeezed them together in a vise to help tighten them up and they've been fine always since).
Fourth, I give that same frame-up (in red) with the middle-box and I've not had any issues with the drawers that weren't somebody-inflicted.
